Internal Doors Styled to Suit Your Home
When you’re picking an internal door from Vivid, there are plenty of ways to tailor your choice to match your current interior design.

Panel doors
If you’re putting the finishing touches on a period property, a carefully chosen panel door is the final step towards authenticity. From the raised mouldings of a Victorian door to the stacked 1930’s design of the DX30 door styles.

Glazed doors
When you’re looking to let light and energy flow through your home, installing an internal glazed door is a simple step to take.
Choosing a half-glazed door is an excellent way to draw sunlight through your home, without you having to resort to reconfiguring your home by moving walls.

Oak, pine or walnut internal doors
There’s no denying the appeal of wood doors. Whether it’s a high-quality oak veneer or a budget-friendly pine door, our timber doors have a beautiful rich wood grain that brings timeless elegance to any home.
At Vivid Doors, we have a vast range of materials to choose from including solid wood doors and veneers. We even supply luxurious walnut doors, if you’re looking to add dark drama to your room.

Unfinished, primed and prefinished internal doors
If you want a door that’s ready to hang as soon as it’s delivered, we stock a wide range of prefinished doors. If you’re looking for something a little more flexible, then a primed door will only need a lick of paint, varnish or stain to make sure it looks great and lasts for years.
Finally, if you’re looking to completely customise your internal door to match your interior design, we also stock unfinished doors. These high-quality oak veneers may take a little more time and effort to perfect but they bring the flexibility to slip flawlessly into any interior design scheme.

Laminate doors for busy rooms
Internal doors often bear the brunt in high-traffic areas. Our range of laminate doors are the perfect choice for these rooms, as their laminate veneers are so robust and easy to clean.
Available in a range of colours, including grey, black and oak veneer, they are as attractive as they are functional and we’ve got options to match any room.
Internal Fire Doors
Here at Vivid doors we have a wide range of internal fire doors available to provide even more protection in your home.
What do internal fire doors do?
Fire doors are specifically designed to stop fire from moving through your house. The Vivid fire door range are all built with an engineered solid core that can withstand fire for a minimum of 30 mins.
As well as holding back flames, these doors are engineered to prevent smoke from filling the house. To ensure safety it is suggested that you should install a fire door in every kitchen doorway, even between garages.
How Much Do Internal Doors Cost?
The broad variety of doors we stock means we have options to suit every budget. If you’re looking to keep costs down, we offer plenty of unfinished doors. They may take extra work to get them ready to hang, but they do cost less to buy. In fact, our high-quality knotty pine doors start at £45 inc VAT making them kind to any budget.
Alternatively, if you’re looking for an extravagant door that suggests the ultimate in luxury, our solid oak doors have the unmistakable weight of solid wood, with a stunning woodgrain. They are the height of quality and craftsmanship and guaranteed to impress.
Internal Doors Sizes
All of our numerous door styles are available in a range of standard door sizes. For awkward door frames, even our lightweight doors include a solid timber lipping so you can trim them down to fit.
As well as various single leaf door styles, we have a selection of bifold doors as well. These designs are a great choice for areas where space is limited, such as under-stairs cupboards. We offer bifold designs to match many of our other more traditional ranges. This gives you flexibility while allowing continuity of design throughout your entire home or office.

How do you measure an interior door for replacement?
Taking door measurements is quick and easy, all you have to do is:
- Measure the width of the frame your door sits in by taking measurements at the top, middle and bottom of your interior door. Use the widest measurement and deduct 4mm to determine the width you need.
- For the height, measure from the floor covering finish to the underside of the door frame.
- Next, measure the thickness. Typical standard thicknesses are 35mm (known as imperial standard doors ), 40mm (known as metric standard doors ), and 44/45mm doors (known as FD30, or Fire doors).

Extra tips:
How do you finish an interior door?
If you have chosen prefinished, or fully finished doors ( both words have the same meaning ), then you won’t need to do anything to the door before hanging. That is unless you have to plane the door, in that case, you’ll have to reseal the edges you’ve trimmed.
For primed doors, you should lightly sand and fill any small imperfections. You should then apply an undercoat and topcoat in your selected finish colour.
Finally, if you have chosen unfinished doors, these should be lightly sanded and wiped down to remove any dust. You can then finish them with your selected paint, oil or varnish.

Extra tips:
Unfinished Oak Internal doors should only be finished with a suitable internal door oil or varnish. Products like Osmo PolyX Internal Door Oil, or Treatex Wax Oil will seal the door and give it a nice satin finish. These are the products we recommend to customers who have purchased an unfinished internal oak door from us. The same coating can be used to reseal the edges of prefinished doors which have been planed down.
What’s the difference between an unfinished oak internal door and a fully finished oak door?
How long will delivery take?
Our normal delivery process takes between three and seven working days on all in-stock items to most mainland locations unless otherwise stated. This excludes weekends, Bank Holidays and shutdowns.
After processing your order, and generally within a maximum of two working days, we will contact you by phone or text to advise on the delivery date. You will need to be on the premises when we deliver and sign for your doors.
Can I hang my interior door straight away?
When your new door arrives, it should be stored lying flat on two bearers until they are ready to be installed. A common problem arises when doors are stored in an upright position against a wall for an extended period of time, which can cause the doors to bow or twist, so proper storage is important to keep your new door in prime condition.
When you are ready to install the doors, they should be taken from their packaging and decorated before installation. This allows you to ensure all edges are appropriately sealed to prevent any airborne moisture from getting into the door over time.
