Questions about FD30 Fire Doors
An FD30 rating means that the door has been tested and will withstand a fire for 30 minutes. This gives you longer to save lives by getting your family to safety in the event of a blaze in your house.
In a two-storey house, a door that leads from a garage directly into a house is required to be a fire door. Homes built or renovated with three or more floors including loft conversions must have fire doors to every habitable room off the stairwell.
