Product Information

Graceful, enduring, and unmistakably classic, the Traditional Victorian Oak 4 Panel Clear Glazed Fire Door captures the richness of 19th-century design while delivering modern fire safety. This door’s unmistakable layout with two raised-and-fielded lower panels paired with two upper clear glazed sections, embodies the elegance of the Victorian era. It’s brought up to date through fire-rated construction and premium materials.

FSC Certification

Crafted from engineered core and finished with a high-quality, unfinished oak veneer, this door gives you the freedom to stain or oil it to your preferred tone. Its construction uses a robust stile-and-rail framework, complete with ovolo bead detailing and two 6mm thick flat pyro-glass panels. These fire-resistant panes help safeguard your space for up to 30 minutes in the event of a fire, while still allowing light to pass through interior rooms.

The carefully proportioned design is built with practicality in mind. Popular imperial sizes make installation straightforward, and 18mm solid oak lippings allow for up to 12mm of trimming from any edge which is ideal for older properties or uneven openings. As with all fire doors, it must be fitted in accordance with the accompanying certification to ensure full compliance.

Part of Climadoor’s wider Victorian collection, this oak model sits alongside a range of coordinating styles in different finishes, sizes and glazing options. It’s also constructed using FSC® (INT-COC-003944.500) mix certified timber, supporting sustainable sourcing throughout the supply chain.

Sizing

This 44mm thick fire-rated model is offered in the most widely used imperial widths, with solid 18mm oak lippings that allow up to 12mm of trimming from any edge. This helps to achieve a precise fit without compromise.

Sustainability

Responsibly built from FSC® (INT-COC-003944.500) mix certified materials, this door supports responsible forest management and long-lasting performance. Engineered timber construction ensures strength while reducing environmental impact.

Questions about Traditional Victorian Oak 4 Panel Clear Glazed Fire Door

Is the glass in this fire door transparent?

Yes, it features 6mm thick clear flat pyro-glass, allowing light to pass between rooms while maintaining 30-minute fire resistance when installed to the certified standard.

Can I stain the oak veneer to match existing woodwork?

Definitely. This door is supplied unfinished, meaning it’s ready to be stained, oiled or varnished to suit your chosen interior finish. Unfortunately Danish Oil cannot be used on our oak veneered products.

What’s the difference between this and a non-fire-rated version?

The key difference is the internal construction and the fire-rated glass. This version is tested to provide 30 minutes of protection in the event of a fire, while non-fire-rated models do not carry the same certification.
