Product Information
FSC Certification

This timeless boarded design with a subtle 10x5mm V-groove on both sides won’t overtly look like a fire door, yet it does the job it’s designed to do. Combining both aesthetics and functionality you won’t have to compromise when you choose a Climadoor internal oak cottage fire door. This is ideal for properties with character to maintain.

Sizing

Getting the right fit in a building with quirks can be challenging, but we’ve got you covered. With 3 fire door sizes to choose from, you can take your pick. The generous 20mm lipping gives more scope for trimming, so you can get your fit on point. These cottage style fire doors can be trimmed a total of 28mm (14mm trim on each edge).

Finish

These doors are unfinished so you can customise the final look. Fire doors can be finished using standard paint or varnish to seal the oak and protect them from the elements as well as everyday wear and tear.

Sustainability

The range of oak cottage fire doors is sourced sustainably, supported by the FSC® Mix certification granted by the Forest Stewardship Council (INT-COC-003944.500). This certification serves as a testament to our commitment to responsible sourcing practices. By choosing our door, you are actively contributing to the preservation of our environment.

Questions about Traditional Cottage Oak Fire Door

What are the rules for domestic internal fire doors?

The rules for domestic internal fire doors state that homes with three or more stories must have a fire door for every door between a stairwell and a habitable room. Additionally, any door between an integral garage and a house should also be a fire door. Fire doors are also required for converted lofts. Ensure compliance with these regulations for safety and peace of mind.

Can you have a fire rated wood door?

Yes, you can have a fire-rated wood door. We offer a wide range of fire-rated doors, including wood doors with fire ratings up to 60 minutes. These doors are designed to blend with other interior doors in your home, ensuring both safety and aesthetic appeal.

What type of fire rated door do I need?

To determine the type of fire-rated door you need, consider the fire resistance required. The most common specification is FD30 fire doors, which resist fire for 30 minutes. However, higher fire ratings like FD60 fire doors, offering 60 minutes of fire resistance, may be necessary to safeguard both people and property. Choose accordingly to ensure adequate protection.
