Part L Compliant External doors are required in all new build projects which are built under the requirements of Part L of the Building Regulations. These thermally efficient Oak exterior doors have an engineered core, using modern, thermally efficient materials, which give these doors a whole product U value down to 1.6w/m2K. Whether its double glazed oak external doors, or solid panel oak external doors you are looking for these “off the shelf” unfinished engineered oak doors are an ideal solution.

The front door sets the character for the rest of the house. It gives a hint of what may lie behind it, and gives character to the entire property. It is also important for insulation and security, and modern building regulations place strict requirements on how a door should perform in terms of insulation, to ensure that the house is as energy-efficient as possible.

Choose from our Vast Selection

If you are working on a new build, then you will need to invest in Part L compliant external doors, because these are a requirement under the current Building Regulations. We have a large selection of thermally efficient oak exterior doors which are made with modern, thermally efficient materials so that they have an astoundingly low U value. The whole product U value of the doors is just 1.6w/m2K, which means that they keep warmth in, and cold out.

Choose from a selection of double glazed oak external doors that combine good light flow with thermal efficiency, and solid panel oak external doors that offer a nice clean, fresh and smart appearance. These doors are designed to have a high quality, timeless appeal that will suit almost any home, whether you are aiming for a contemporary look, something sleek, a rustic country house appearance, or a classical tone and a period feel. They are as versatile as they are durable.

These ‘off the shelf’ doors are supplied unfinished so that you can stain or paint them any way that you prefer. They are offered in most standard sizes, to fit common door openings, and can be trimmed to fit slightly unusual openings.

We Cater to Your Needs

If you cannot find quite the perfect door, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. Our team will be happy to work with you to find a door that will suit your needs. If your issue is that you have an unusually large door opening, we may be able to supply you with a door kit with matching sidelights, or recommend French door sets that could fit.

We offer free delivery (over £750) on all of our doors as standard, and we can deliver most off the shelf doors quickly. There is a longer lead time on bespoke doors but we will always communicate expected delivery times and work with you to find the perfect solution.

It’s important to be aware that even a Part L compliant external door is only efficient if it fits the frame securely and snugly, so you must take care to measure the opening properly. Our doors come with generous lippings so that you can trim them down to fit if required, and you should buy a door that is a few MM over-size, not under-size, for maximum security and insulation.

If you are struggling with measuring your door, or need some advice about our selection, please don’t hesitate to give our sales team a call on 01246 380 283. We would be happy to duscuss your needs with you and help you to find the perfect products.
